IMPORTANT : PLEASE READ THROUGH THE FOLLOWING POINTS BEFORE SUBMITTING RACE ENTRY FORMS

For 2019, we have introduced several changes relating to Race Entries and Fees :

  • Max Entries per Class - there is now a maximum entry of 20 drivers for each Championship Round
  • Pay in Advance - Drivers who have paid the Registration Fee can now receive a discount on Race Entry Fees by paying in advance
  • Submit Race Entry forms, and pay fees in advance, for multiple Championship Rounds

These changes have been introduced to encourage drivers to submit race entries as early as possible for each round, so that we can give the circuits as much advance confirmation as possible about driver numbers. If there is significant early interest in a particular round(s) it may be that the max entry number is increased - in such cases, details will be published on the website, and our FB page.
There are 3 different Race Entry Fees listed against each round :
  • 'In Advance' - this price is only available to registered drivers, who will pay the race entry fee in advance before the 'cut-off' date/time.
  • 'On the Day' - this price is only available to  registered drivers who will pay the race entry fee by Cash/Card during signing-in at the round they have entered
  • 'Guest Entry' - drivers who have not submitted a registration form can pay either in advance, or on the day - there is no discount applied for Guest Drivers paying in advance

In line with the changes, Race Entries will be prioritised as follows :
  1. Race Entries from Drivers who have registered and paid (or will pay at the round) the registration fee, whether paying the race fee in advance or on the day
  2. Race Entries from Guest Drivers, where the Race Fee is paid in advance
  3. Race Entries from Guest Drivers who opt to pay the Race Fee 'on the day'

'Pay in Advance' & Race Entry Closing Dates

The 'Pay in Advance' option will only be available until 22:00 on the Sunday prior to each Championship Round - Race Entries must be submitted, and payment received, before then. After that, Race Entry will remain open until 22:00 on the Wednesday prior to each Championship Round, with Race Fees for Registered Drivers & Guest Drivers payable on the day.

If the maximum entry is reached earlier than the days mentioned above, Race Entry will be closed

Guest Driver Entries without payment in advance

Race Entries from Guest Drivers without payment in advance will be treated as 'provisional' entries, and will only be 'confirmed' if there are enough spaces left after Race Entry closes on the Wednesday prior to each event. In case there are more 'provisional' entries than available spaces, entries will be confirmed in order of the date/time they were submitted. On the Thursday prior to each championship round, the final race entry list for the round will be published, and only those drivers whose entries are confirmed will be able to race.

Submitting Race Entries in advance for Multiple Rounds

As of 1st December 2018, Race Entry is open for all 10 Rounds of the 2019 Championship, however, please take note of the following :

  • Race Entries submitted for any round other than 'the next round' are considered as 'advance race entries' - for example, between 01/12/18 and 12/01/19, R1 at Whilton Mill is 'the next round', and therefore entries for any round from R2 to R10 would be considered as 'advance entries'. After 12/01/19, R2 at Daytona Tamworth becomes 'the next round', and subsequently, entries for any round from R3 to R10 would be considered as 'advance entries', and so on throughout the year...
  • On the Race Entry form for 'the next round', you will be able to select either the 'pay in advance' or 'on the day' options for payment of the Race Entry Fee. On the Race Entry form for all 'advance' rounds, only the 'pay in advance' option will be available.
  • Advance Race Entries will only be confirmed when payment of the entry fee has been received, which must be within 72 hours of submitting the Race Entry form, otherwise the entry form will be deleted, and you will need to submit another one if you still want to enter that round.

Notes on 'Paying in Advance'

  • Race Entries will only be confirmed when payment of the entry fee is received - as a general guide, if you are paying in advance, you should make the payment within 24 hours of submitting the race entry form.
  • Entry Fees received in advance will be non-refundable, so only pay Race Fees in advance if you definitely intend to race at the Championship Round(s) you are paying for.
  • Before making payment, please double check the entry fee listed against the Championship Round you are paying for, so as to ensure you pay the correct amount.
  • Registered Drivers, after submitting their Registration forms, will receive the bank account details for making payments via bank transfer - please keep those details noted down somewhere, so that you have them to hand for making Race Entry Fee payments. Guest Drivers will be sent the bank account details by e-mail, on receipt of their Race Entry Form.
  • When making payment, please ensure you double check the sort code and account number before confirming the payment - Covkartsport will not be held responsible for payments sent in error to the wrong account.
  • On the Race Entry List for each round, if you have paid in advance, when you see 'Paid' next to your name, please take that as confirmation that your payment has been received successfully.

In order to guarantee your place on the grid at any Championship Round, you should plan to submit your race entry as early as possible, and pay the entry fee in advance.
